Omashu
A downloadable game for Windows
Omashu: Snail Racing is a tiny (bug-sized!), hand-crafted, time trial async multiplayer racing game about having quick reflexes and grinding for a spot on the leaderboard with a perfect run.
Gameplay:
- Online leaderboards and ghosts of other racers allow you to see strategies and pitfalls, allowing you to optimize your run
- Short intense bursts of gameplay, you will complete most levels in less than 10 seconds.
- The game has simple to play mechanics, but deep movement tech will be needed to get a top spot.
- 4 biomes and 12 levels in the first version, with more coming soon
Controls:
- Arrows to move/jump
- P to pause/options
- R to restart
Advanced Movement:
- Air friction/acceleration is slower than ground movement, so spending time on the ground is faster
- Press down to Down Dash if you are in the air and your downward speed is not maxed out already
- Holding down on the ground increases your friction, slowing you down
- Bonking a block with the top of your head will cancel horizontal speed and boost you downward
